The Protocol Specific Function (PSF) – Fault-Tolerant/High Availability (FT/HA) software enables the Q.930/Q.931 software to execute in an “active/standby” architecture for a Fault-Tolerant/High-Availability system. PSF – Q.930/Q.931 updates the states of the standby Q.930/Q.931 from the active side so that in case of a failure, the standby can resume operation with minimal disruption in the system. It also allows the controlled switchover from active to standby for maintenance and other purposes.

PSF – Q.930/Q.931 can be used with Trillium FT/HA Core and other PSF (FT/HA) products to allow for management of the active/standby system architecture. Refer to Trillium FT/HA Core and other PSF (FT/HA) data sheets for further information.

Trillium Q.930/Q.931 software enables telecom equipment manufacturers of soft switches, signaling gateways, signal transfer points, service control points, media gateway controllers or other products to:

  • Accelerate time to market
  • Reduce development costs
  • Reduce project risk of internally developed Q.930/Q.931 applications

Product deliverables consist of C source software, documentation, training, a warranty and technical support.

FEATURES + BENEFITS

  • Performs state-updates of standby Q.930/Q.931 from the active Q.930/Q.931.
  • Supports warm start of the standby and causes no delay processing in data traffic during the warm start operation.
  • Supports controlled switchover from active side to standby side.
  • Stops sending state-updates to the standby when the standby is Out-Of-Service (OOS).
  • Conforms to Trillium Advanced Portability Architecture (TAPA)
  • Benefits of licensing Trillium software from Continuous Computing

PRODUCT INTERWORKING

Trillium PSF – Q.930/Q.931 software interworks with Trillium Q.930/Q.931 ISDN product, directly protecting it from failure.

CONFORMANCE

Trillium PSF – Q.930/Q.931 software conforms to Trillium Advanced Portability Architecture (TAPA).
