LTE PDCP
LTE PDCP provides header compression and ciphering services in the data plane of the LTE eNodeB. LTE specifies Robust Header Compression (RoHC) for header compression and both AES and Snow3G for encryption. Trillium LTE PDCP includes a modular implementation of RoHC as well as APIs for easy integration with hardware-accelerated crypto blocks for AES, Kasumi, and/or Snow3G. In addition, the RoHC implementation may also be replaced easily by either hardware-accelerated compression or a customer’s own algorithm implementation. The following diagram shows where in the LTE-Uu interface LTE PDCP is implemented.
