Trillium | MPC860SAR Driver
Description
The MPC860SAR PowerQUICC communication controller is Motorola's integrated communications controller that provides the ATM SAR functionality, namely segmentation and re-assembly of AAL PDUs to and from ATM cells. It supports AAL0 and AAL5 interfaces, with direct supports for CBR and UBR connections. It has a standard UTOPIA cell-level interface with ATM PHY as well as serial interfaces for ATM transport over serial lines such as T1, E1 or xDSL. A single copy of Trillium MPC860SAR driver software supports ATM AAL5 connections on multiple MPC860SAR chips or a single MPC860SAR.
The Trillium MPC860SAR driver portable software product provides the following basic capabilities:
- Activates a virtual connection
- Deactivates a virtual conection
- Transfers AAL5 PDUs over a virtual connection
Trillium MPC860SAR driver software enables telecom equipment manufacturers of soft switches, signaling gateways, signal transfer points, service control points, media gateway controllers or other products to:
- Accelerate time to market
- Reduce development costs
- Reduce project risk of internally developed MPC860SAR driver applications
Product deliverables consist of C source software, documentation, training, a warranty and technical support.
