Targeting the application needs of next generation IP-centric telecommun-ications equipment manufacturers, FlexCompute cPCI-CD1215 uses Intel Core 2 Duo technology to improve price, performance, and power of CompactPCI (cPCI) applications. Running at up to 1.5GHz and delivering up to twice the performance of previous generation Intel Pentium M boards, CD1215 empowers customers with the ability to increase computing capabilities and thus extend the life of their CompactPCI-based systems.

Engineered to meet the increased computing needs of telecom infrastructure such as next generation network softswitches, IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) nodes, Call Session Control Functions (CSCFs), media servers, and media gateways, CD1215 provides superior performance and density.

High reliability storage, critical for many applications, is available via an extended duty 80GB SATA disk on the front board as well as two rear transition module options. A dual slot option supports a single 73GB SAS drive, and a triple slot version accommodates two 73GB SAS drives for larger (146GB) storage requirements. I/O is available via a 10/100/1000Base-T switch, USB, and serial ports.

Coupled with Continuous Computing's complete family of CompactPCI solutions and Trillium protocol software, CD1215 provides the fastest path from application development to deployment revenue. From IP media servers to 3G / 4G network nodes, CD1215 is the blade of choice for deploying a wide range of high performance, scalable telecom applications.
