Continuous Computing's FlexSwitch cPCI-24G provides the ideal blade switching solution for telecom equipment manufacturers seeking superior flexibility and performance in a CompactPCI (cPCI) form factor.

The 24G is an integral building block to any PICMG 2.16 design and delivers Gigabit Ethernet service for up to 19 payload cards. It provides advanced packet transport services such as a full suite of Layer 2 / Layer 3 protocols and also offers Layer 4-7 packet classification, VLAN, QOS/COS, NAT, RSTP, and Port Mirroring.

The 24G is PICMG 2.1 HotSwap compliant and PICMG 2.9 Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) compliant, while a rear transition module is available to route fabric-to-fabric and a pair of egress channels to the rear of the chassis.

Flexible and powerful switch management provides a complete Linux networking environment that helps facilitate application development. An embedded Linux kernel enables the "re-use" of custom networking applications across multiple switching / routing devices for a cost-effective return on investment. Another benefit is the vast amount of open source applications and utilities available.

Engineered for carrier-class performance and designed as a modular switching blade for telecom deployment, the 24G is built on industry standards to ensure easy integration and management. Coupled with Continuous Computing's complete family of cPCI bladed solutions and Trillium protocol software, the 24G provides the fastest path from application development to deployment revenue.
