Continuous Computing Trillium SDK Release Details
Trillium Software Development Kits (SDKs) Enhance Ultimate Usability
Trillium SDKs will be the first toolkit product developed and marketed by Continuous Computing within the Trillium product area. The purpose of Trillium SDKs is to simplify development and improve the overall customer experience. SDKs will amplify the standard Trillium protocol software benefits:
- Accelerated Time-To-Market
- Reduced Product Lifecycle Cost
- Reduced Project Risk and Complexity
To provide these benefits, Trillium SDKs improve the initial customer experience by automating the stack compilation, build, and configuration. A subset of Trillium competitors already provide pre-packaged stack managers. However, these stack managers do not provide the same flexibility as the Trillium approach. What makes the Trillium SDK solution to this problem unique is that it automates, but does not complete the process for the user. By doing so it allows the user to make his/her own decisions and take advantage of the unparalleled flexibility of the Trillium Advanced Portability Architecture (TAPA).
Beyond the initial tasks of stack compilation, build, and configuration, the SDKs provide application-enabling software to accelerate the customers' development process. Application-enabling software includes higher-level Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), reference applications, and stack enhancements for specific network equipment or functions.
The three key components of the Trillium SDK are as follows:
- Integrated Portable Protocol Stack
The latest specification compliance, COTS configurations, and Trillium Tools (e.g., Trillium XTA, Trillium ICT, etc.) for rapid stack integration. - Application Development Accelerators (ADA)
Stack add-ons or reference applications that jump-start application development - Stack Configuration and Management (SCM)
Tools to support simplified stack configuration and integration as well as stack manager sample code for common functions like alarming and statistics.

Trillium SDK Roadmap
The components of the Trillium SDK are reusable and feature the common experience benefits of the Trillium Advanced Portability Architecture (TAPA). The first SDK upgrades are being completed for Trillium SIP and Diameter. These initial products are leading the way for comprehensive upgrades to key protocols in the Trillium product line. The protocol software products targeted for SDK upgrades are as follows:
- Trillium SIP
- Trillium Diameter
- Trillium GCP
- Trillium 4G Wireless
