Trillium "NGN-Ready" SIP & Diameter
Trillium is Critical to Successful Deployments
Continuous Computing is actively enhancing the two key protocols for NGN deployments, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and Diameter. The evolving protocol software requirements for successful NGN and IMS product development are rapidly changing the protocol vendor landscape. There is a polarization between companies focused on ease-of-use and those providing a robust, feature-rich, and carrier-grade stack solution. The former often lacks key specification compliance and optimal performance, while the latter can be complex and difficult to use. Trillium "NGN-Ready" protocol software is providing a solution that addresses time-to-market pressures via an innovative tool set AND meets real-world protocol stack requirements.
Trillium - A Leader in NGN Protocol Software
Interoperability Event ParticipationActive interoperability event participation is not only critical to ensuring that protocol software is globally interoperable, but also propels standardization efforts throughout the industry. This is why Continuous Computing actively participates in standards bodies and related interoperability events. A few recent events where Trillium SIP and Diameter were successfully tested for interoperability are as follows: SIPit #20 - April 2007

Key Webinar TopicsIn addition to Interoperability Event and Standards Body participation, Continuous Computing understands it is important to provide technical updates to the market via informative and interesting Webinars. These webinars range from platform development to domain-specific expertise. A few webinars to highlight where Continuous Computing provided critical technical updates to the market in the areas of IMS and NGN VoIP are as follows: July 2007 - The Role of ATCA in IMS Deployments

Trillium Software Development Kits (SDKs)
Until now, TEMs had to choose between usability and flexibility / performance when picking their protocol software solution. With the introduction of the Trillium SDK, this is no longer the case. The Trillium SDK goes beyond simply providing a set of reference applications, while maintaining the benefits of the proven and well regarded Trillium Advanced Portability Architecture (TAPA). In addition, the Trillium SDK does not sacrifice performance because it provides a set of tools and applications around the stack as opposed to embedding them into the core protocol software. This maintains the stack level performance optimizations and accelerates the development process. The Trillium SDK simplifies the three critical activities every customer must complete:
- Protocol Layer Integration
The flexibility of TAPA leads to the separation of protocols into logical layers which then need to be tied together to form the protocol stack. The Trillium SDK simplifies and automates this process for the customer by providing an Integrated Portable Protocol Stack at the core of the SDK. - Stack Configuration and Management
Once the stack is integrated, the next step is to develop a stack manager which configures the software both offline and at run-time. The configuration of protocol software is complex and often involves a multitude of parameters. The Stack Configuration and Management (SCM) tools featured in the Trillium SDK automate this process and provide sample stack manager applications. - Application Development
The final step is development of the end-application. In this case, customers leverage the upper API's of the protocol software to develop their value-added application. The Trillium SDK provides Application Development Accelerators (ADA) that consist of reference applications and configurable application code that support rapid application development.
