Solution Offers True Network Convergence for Carriers Globally

3GSM WORLD CONGRESS (BARCELONA) AND SAN DIEGO – February 12, 2007 – Continuous Computing, global provider of integrated systems and services that enable telecom equipment manufacturers to rapidly deploy Next Generation Networks (NGN), today announced that Mavenir Systems, an emerging technology company developing a solution that transcends barriers dividing core networks, has selected a broad range of Continuous Computing’s products – including Trillium Diameter, H.248, and SS7 protocol software – to help drive mOne, its next generation 21st Century Network Platform.

Mavenir’s innovative mOne broadband Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) platform is designed to enable network providers to extend their mobile core consumer services to include VoIP offerings over a wide variety of networks, including fixed broadband, EVDO, UMTS, WiFi, and WiMAX. By integrating “NGN-Ready” Trillium products from Continuous Computing, companies such as Mavenir can deliver multimedia capabilities across networks and access devices efficiently and economically, as well as with full mobility, authentication, and service assurance. Trillium software enhances these carrier-grade capabilities due to its scalable, reliable, and patented Distributed Fault Tolerant / High Availability stack architecture, also referred to as DFT/HA.

“As an emerging technology company, a key to our success is to quickly integrate field-proven NGN hardware and software products that can accelerate our customers’ developments and deployments,” said Pardeep Kohli, president and chief executive officer of Mavenir Systems. “We had previous positive experience using Trillium software and Trillium Professional Services, which made Continuous Computing a preferred vendor for achieving our time-to-market requirements.”

The variety of mOne voice and video IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) applications enabled by Trillium software include Push-To-Talk (PTT), Instant Messaging and Presence, and Voice-over-WiFi (VoWiFi or ViFi). Mavenir is also evaluating Continuous Computing’s AdvancedTCA bladed compute hardware for future selective integration into its carrier-class systems.

“Differentiation, time-to-market, and cost reduction considerations are driving telecom equipment manufacturers to partner with other best-of-breed firms to deliver integrated solutions,” said Keith Nissen, principal analyst with market research and consulting firm In-Stat. “Companies like Mavenir and Continuous Computing are wise to work together in an effort to rapidly deploy customized IMS and NGN infrastructure.”
