Pre-Integrated Package with Trillium Protocol Technology to Power Wireless Solution

CANNES, FRANCE AND SAN DIEGO – FEBRUARY 15, 2005 – Continuous Computing Corporation, global provider of high availability platform solutions that enable telecom equipment manufacturers to rapidly deploy converged communications, today announced that TruePosition has successfully deployed Continuous Computing’s integrated hardware and Trillium software to deliver a market leading Location-Based Services (LBS) platform. TruePosition, the world’s largest company solely dedicated to the development and implementation of wireless location products and services, uses Trillium SS7 and SIGTRAN software pre-integrated by Continuous Computing onto hardware line cards for a faster, more effective deployment into third generation (3G) wireless networks.

As part of the wireless evolution, location based services are being used worldwide by consumers to easily and quickly find people, places and other information from their mobile handsets. These services are also an integral component of the rollout of emergency wireless location for Enhanced 911 (E911) in North America and for similar emergency services in Europe. With major operators across the world adopting LBS to roll out essential applications, the need for carrier-grade software and hardware elements in the network becomes more critical.

According to Joseph Sheehan, president of TruePosition, “The deployment of Continuous Computing’s integrated hardware and software is an important factor in our drive to deliver high accuracy, high value location solutions, speeding our time-to-market and increasing the flexibility of our products for wireless carriers. We are delighted to be working together.”

“Location-based services represent an important sector of the future of wireless applications,” said Prasad Kallur, Continuous Computing vice president of product management and marketing. “Our enabling pre-integrated solutions form the foundation for customers like TruePosition to cost-effectively create and deploy wireless applications while fostering industry-wide adoption of standards. This relationship is yet another testament that Continuous Computing is the company to supply complete integrated solutions to leaders in the wireless industry.”

Trillium SS7 software from Continuous Computing is designed to enhance and extend the signaling capabilities of next generation telecommunications network devices by enabling superior availability, performance and scalability. SIGTRAN, an Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) standard, allows transport of SS7 messages over IP networks to enable convergence. These software components, integrated onto Continuous Computing hardware line cards, are the building blocks selected by TruePositon to accelerate the market adoption of its location products.

Additional information about Continuous Computing and its complete line of high availability platform solutions is available at the company’s exhibit (Hall 2, Booth D4) at the 3GSM trade show located at the Palais des Festival in Cannes, France from February 14-17, 2005. The company’s exhibit includes an interactive 3G IMS demonstration using AdvancedTCA systems and Trillium protocol software.
