Alcatel is a leading global telecom equipment manufacturer and Alcatel Shanghai Bell – created through the integration of the former Shanghai Bell and Alcatel’s key business unit in China – is a market leader for telecommunications solutions in the Asia Pacific Region. The company strives to maintain its leading edge by utilizing state-of-the-art infrastructure such as Continuous Computing’s Trillium VoIP and SIGTRAN protocol software. In addition, by providing critical local support through its new office in Shanghai, China and through its global customer support organization, Continuous Computing was instrumental in ensuring successful interoperability testing required by Alcatel Shanghai Bell’s Tier 1 carrier customers. “After a rigorous evaluation process we selected Continuous Computing for our NGN solutions because of superior product performance, carrier grade system reliability, key supplier relationships and a leading-edge technology roadmap,” said the NGN Product Manager of Alcatel Shanghai Bell. “Continuous Computing’s local team in China and its exceptional engineering organization have done a tremendous job in supporting us and we have been very pleased with their responsiveness, technical expertise and willingness to do whatever it takes to help us meet our aggressive deployment objectives.”
“By working closely with Alcatel Shanghai Bell during the design, interoperability and deployment phases, we have become a virtual extension of their engineering team and are well positioned to help ensure their satisfaction,” said PJ Go, President and co-founder, Continuous Computing. “Because important customers like Alcatel are operating ever-more-globally, we believe that in addition to providing superior products, offering local support is a crucial element of the overall value proposition. We look forward to many more successful deployments with Alcatel Shanghai Bell in the future.”
