Continuous Computing Trillium Software Enables NewStep Networks’ Converged Services Node Product for Fixed Mobile Convergence Market
NGN-Ready Protocol Stacks and Trillium Professional Services Facilitate Project Implementation
SAN DIEGO – May 22, 2007 – Continuous Computing, global provider of integrated systems and services that enable telecom equipment manufacturers to rapidly deploy Next Generation Networks (NGN), today announced that NewStep Networks, Inc., the leader in convergence for service providers and enterprises, has chosen Continuous Computing's Trillium protocol software and Trillium Professional Services to power and support NewStep's Converged Services Node (CSN) product family. By offering field-proven and widely deployed Signaling System 7 (SS7) and SIGTRAN stacks, Continuous Computing met NewStep's need for a homologated and interoperable software stack solution.
Designed to cover a wide range of carrier environments, NewStep's CSN product suite enables network operators to easily scale service capacity. Continuous Computing provided customized integration and product training to help facilitate the CSN product offerings and speed time to market. Specifically, Continuous Computing provided MAP over SIGTRAN and SS7 Trillium protocol software stacks as well as ongoing technical integration expertise and guidance from the Trillium Professional Services team. By collaborating with Continuous Computing, NewStep was able to deliver its product on-schedule and according to plan.
“As a solution provider that is focused on delivering tangible value to our customers, NewStep was searching for a committed partner to provide the best protocol stacks on the market and support us in the integration process,” said Neil Baimel, president and chief executive officer of NewStep Networks. “Continuous Computing's customer architecture and product marketing teams demonstrated a deep understanding of our products and a commitment to work closely with NewStep on a long-term basis to ensure the project's success.”
Continuous Computing's Trillium software is widely regarded throughout the industry as “the standard” in protocol software stack solutions. The product line's quality, coupled with individualized customer service from product installation through product development and commercial launch, has earned the Trillium brand its strong reputation.
“NewStep selected our Trillium software solution because of its ability to withstand rigorous testing by NewStep's service provider customers and third-party certification labs,” said Mike Dagenais, chief executive officer of Continuous Computing. “Our product engineering and Trillium Professional Services teams, which have acted as extensions to NewStep's in-house team, accomplished the necessary objectives in helping NewStep achieve its aggressive time-to-market goals.”
