Continuous Computing Adds New Board Member and Promotes Director of Marketing
SAN DIEGO - AUGUST 8, 2006 - Continuous Computing Corporation, global provider of Network Service-Ready Platforms that enable telecom equipment manufacturers to rapidly deploy converged communications, today announced the addition of Bill Ingram as a new board member and the promotion of Brian Wood to vice president of marketing and business development. This board appointment and promotion will enhance Continuous Computing's ability to execute its mission of providing the best total package of hardware, software, and professional services to telecom equipment manufacturers.
Bill Ingram joins Continuous Computing as the company's newest board member and brings noted expertise in business development built over the course of more than 24 years. Mr. Ingram is the former president, CEO, and co-founder of Nuera Communications and presided over the firm from 1997 through its successful acquisition by AudioCodes in July 2006. As one of the leading Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) infrastructure solutions providers, Nuera helped carriers migrate from legacy to next-generation networks and established a strong position in VoIP for the cable industry thanks in large part to Mr. Ingram's dynamic business savvy.
"Bill has a wealth of experience in successfully leading companies through each stage of development," said PJ Go, president, CEO, and co-founder of Continuous Computing. "We are looking forward to the insights that he will provide to the board, particularly with respect to strategic acquisition opportunities and exceptional operations expertise."
Before his work with Nuera, Mr. Ingram served as the chief operating officer of PCSI-Clarity Products Division and has worked for Ivie Industries and Intel Corporation. He is a graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Business School.
In a separate announcement, Brian Wood has been named vice president of marketing and business development. In his new role, Mr. Wood will lead Continuous Computing's product management, business development, and marketing initiatives. Mr. Wood, who has been with the company since 2004, was previously director of marketing. During the past two years he was instrumental in developing the company's successful corporate branding overhaul and building a strong marketing communications team responsible for executing effective marketing initiatives globally.
"Brian's leadership and proven track record will help to streamline our efforts geared toward providing the best total solution for our telecom equipment manufacturer customers," said Mr. Go. "His focus on teambuilding while facilitating win-win business relationships will allow Continuous Computing to extend its positive growth and differentiation in the market."
Before joining Continuous Computing, Mr. Wood was director of marketing at Sorrento Networks, an optical networking systems vendor. He is a former U.S. Naval Officer and a graduate of Cornell University and Stanford University.
