Continuous Computing Announces Senior Management Appointments and Promotions

Movement Reflects Aggressive Growth and Success as the Company Solidifies Its Position as an Industry Leader

San Diego - September 13, 2005 - Continuous Computing Corporation, global provider of Network Service-Ready Platforms that enable telecom equipment manufacturers to rapidly deploy converged communications, today announced three senior management appointments and three senior management promotions.

According to Erez Barnavon, Continuous Computing chief financial officer and executive vice president, "This company movement and growth reflects our transformation from an aggressive telecom start-up to a respected industry leader. Continuous Computing is scaling up to address multiple new opportunities in the rapidly growing wireless, Voice over IP (VoIP) and IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) telecom infrastructure markets."

Senior management appointments include:

  • Bill Dow, Vice President of Finance
    Mr. Dow brings over 16 years of financial experience at both public and private companies to Continuous Computing. He has held multiple senior-level finance positions, most recently as chief financial officer of EWI Holdings and vice president of finance at MP3.com and Data Tree. Mr. Dow was a key member of the MP3.com team that completed the $380 million IPO in 1999. He also previously spent seven years at international accounting firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Dow is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a graduate of San Diego State University.

  • Joe Harrington, Vice President of Manufacturing Operations
    Mr. Harrington comes to Continuous Computing with more than 28 years of operations management experience. Most recently, Mr. Harrington was senior vice president of corporate operations for Copper Mountain Networks. In that role, he developed and implemented a strategy that achieved a 550 percent annual revenue growth rate in domestic and international markets over a two-year period while maintaining a 99.85 percent field acceptance rate and a 99.5 percent on-time delivery record.

  • James Radley, Principal Architect
    Mr. Radley brings more than 18 years of engineering expertise in hardware, software and integration to his new role at Continuous Computing. Widely respected in the telecommunications infrastructure community, Mr. Radley previously worked at Sun Microsystems as senior OEM solutions architect where he led a team in the development and distribution of custom fault tolerant servers for telecom applications. His diverse background includes work in the fields of computer graphics, workstations, defense systems, industrial control and fault tolerant computers.

Senior management promotions include:

  • Ron Pyles, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales & Marketing
    Mr. Pyles has been with Continuous Computing as vice president of worldwide sales since the February 2003 acquisition of the market-leading Trillium protocol software business from Intel Corporation. During this time, Mr. Pyles has guided the company's sales team to produce seven consecutive quarters of record revenue. Prior to joining the company, he directed the worldwide sales organization responsible for Trillium at Intel. With the company's expansion in China and growing presence in Europe, Asia and North America, Mr. Pyles will take on additional responsibilities in leading Continuous Computing's global sales and marketing initiatives.

  • Larry Nishnick, Vice President of Legal Affairs
    Mr. Nishnick joined Continuous Computing as director of legal affairs soon after the Trillium acquisition in March 2003 and has since been managing all the legal responsibilities of the rapidly growing global organization. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Nishnick worked at Cooley Godward LLP, serving as outside counsel to various entities ranging from early-stage emerging growth companies to well-established publicly traded firms. As Continuous Computing expands its operations and grows the business, Mr. Nishnick will take on a larger role in overseeing the company's legal operations and compliance worldwide.

  • Pradeep Malhotra, Vice President and Managing Director of Continuous Computing India
    Mr. Malhotra has been with the company since March 2003 and has worked with the Trillium business for nearly a decade. He led the establishment of Continuous Computing's India operations in 2004, which has grown to over 60 personnel in the past 14 months. He has over 12 years of technology experience and has worked for organizations including Intel Corporation, Center for Development of Telematics (C-DoT) and InterWave Communications. Mr. Malhotra will now also take on full ownership of broader corporate functions.
