Indian Development Centre to Power New Product Development and Serve as an Additional Global Customer Support Centre for Continuous Computing Customers

BANGALORE, INDIA - July 1, 2004 - Continuous Computing, the leading provider of high availability Network Service-Ready Platform solutions for telecom equipment manufacturers, today announced it has established a wholly owned subsidiary and development centre in Bangalore, the heart of India's software development community.

Continuous Computing plans to invest over $3 million to expand its Indian operations over the next few years. The Indian development centre will serve as a key element of the Continuous Computing development infrastructure and will also provide pre- and post-sales support for the company's customers in the high-growth Indian market as well as the entire Asian region.

"We have been steadily expanding our presence in the Asia Pacific region and India is yet another significant milestone in our rapidly growing international footprint," said Ken Kalb, chief executive officer, Continuous Computing. "Our Indian office is important for providing world-class development capability and support to our increasingly global customer base. Bangalore is a strategic location due to its strong, talented labor market and the fact that many of our customers and partners have established their own product design centers in the area."

"The telecom market in India is reaching new heights in software excellence with a thrust on Wireless and Voice over Internet Protocol applications like push-to-talk, instant messaging, and presence applications. This opportunity makes Continuous Computing's entry into India an exciting addition to the local development ecosystem," said Mujahid Alam, Country Manager for Mistral Solutions. Mistral has been one of Continuous Computing's distribution partners since 2002.

Pradeep Malhotra, Managing Director for Continuous Computing India Pvt. Ltd., added, "Our new Indian development facility allows us to cement our commitment to the region and work more closely with our customers. Bangalore is recognized for its tremendous software development assets, and we believe that our strong presence in the region will extend our leadership in the telecommunications infrastructure market."

Continuous Computing opened its Asia-Pacific regional headquarters in Seoul, Korea in February 2003. The company made further commitments to the region by opening an office in Tokyo, Japan in November 2003.
