Ken Kalb Of Continuous Computing Named Finalist For Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2004 Award

SAN DIEGO, CA - May 26, 2004 - Continuous Computing, the leading provider of high-availability Network Service-Ready Platform™ solutions for telecom equipment manufacturers, today announced that Ken Kalb, its chairman and chief executive officer, was named a finalist by professional services firm Ernst & Young LLP for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2004 Awards in San Diego, CA. Mr. Kalb was selected by a panel of judges comprised of local community and business leaders. Winners of the Entrepreneur Of The Year award will be announced at a banquet on Wednesday, June 16, at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines.

Mr. Kalb has been the chairman and chief executive officer of Continuous Computing since the company's inception in 1998. In this role Mr. Kalb helped raise more than $30 million in shareholder equity and also led the effort in February 2003 to acquire Trillium Digital Systems, a network protocol software company, from Intel Corporation, after which the business unit became net income positive within 45 days. Mr. Kalb has been an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year finalist in 2001, 2002, and 2003.

Under Mr. Kalb's leadership Deloitte & Touche twice recognized Continuous Computing as a rising star technology company and in August 2003 awarded the company the Fast 50 award in San Diego for being the fastest growing company over a five-year period and the 16th fastest growing company in North America. The company has also won multiple Product of the Year awards and in March 2004 was honored as Company of the Year during inFUSION '04 by a notable panel of judges from industry, technology, and academia. Previously Mr. Kalb was President of Emultek (now eSim), an Israeli simulation tool company, where he doubled revenues and led a successful IPO. Mr. Kalb has attended American University and New York University Graduate Film School.

San Diego winners will be eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2004 national program. Winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, CA, in November 2004.
