Continuous Computing Ranked #16 Fastest Growing Technology Company in North America on the 2003 Deloitte Technology Fast 500

SAN DIEGO, CA - December 02, 2003 - Continuous Computing Corporation (CCPU), the leading provider of Application-Ready Platform solutions for telecom equipment companies, today announced that it ranked number 16 on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in North America. Rankings are based on average percentage revenue growth over five years, from 1998-2002. CCPU grew 28,372 percent during this period. "This national ranking is a significant achievement for our company, especially given the challenging business climate in which it was attained, and is validation of our leadership in providing telecom equipment solutions for voice-over-packet, wireless and signaling applications in the core of the network," said Ken Kalb, chief executive officer of Continuous Computing Corporation. "To be recognized nationally is a great honor and accomplishment, and recognition must be given to our dedicated and talented employees." In addition to ranking on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500, CCPU ranked number one on the Deloitte & Touche San Diego Technology Fast 50, which is a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology firms in San Diego.

"Making the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 is a testament to a company's commitment to technology," said Mark A. Evans, national managing partner of Deloitte's Technology, Media & Telecommunications Group. "With its 28,372 percent growth rate over five years, CCPU has proven that its leadership has the vision and determination to grow in difficult conditions." Fast 500 Selection and Qualifications The Fast 500 list is compiled from Deloitte's 20 regional North American Fast 50 programs, nominations submitted directly to the Fast 500, and public company database research.

To qualify for the Fast 500, entrants must have had 1997 operating revenues of at least $50,000 USD and $75,000 CD for the United States and Canada, respectively; and 2002 operating revenues must be at least $1 million USD or CD. Deloitte researchers examined financial statements to validate operating revenues. Entrants must also be public or private companies headquartered in North America and must be a "technology company", defined as a company that owns proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology. Using other companies' technology in a unique way does not qualify.
