Award recognizes Company for outstanding achievement in technological innovation, civic contribution and industry accomplishments

SAN DIEGO, CA - October 21, 2003 - Continuous Computing Corporation (CCPU), the leading provider of Application-Ready Platforms for telecom equipment companies, today announced it ranked number one at the 10th Annual AeA High Tech Awards. The award recognized Continuous Computing's achievements in technological innovation, civic contributions and industry accomplishments within the Computer & Related Products category. "Receiving this award is an honor and testament to our resolve to be a leading provider of telecom equipment solutions for voice over packet, wireless and signaling applications in the core of the network," said Ken Kalb, chief executive officer of Continuous Computing. "It is especially rewarding to be recognized by our peers in the engineering community. We are extremely proud of our dedicated and talented employees who have enabled our success, and will continue to make excellent contributions to the San Diego community and the high tech industry overall."

CCPU recently won the Deloitte & Touche San Diego Technology Fast 50, and has ranked #16 in the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 at the national level. The awards recognize the fastest growing technology companies based on revenue growth over a five year period from 1998 to 2002. "The high tech community's participation this year was outstanding. There is definitely a sense of pride in being part of one of the leading cities contributing to the innovation and advancement of the technology industry as a whole," said Kevin Carroll, AeA executive director. "Continuous Computing's win is symbolic of the caliber of finalists we had this year. AeA wishes them their heartiest congratulations for a feat well deserved." The winners were chosen from a group of 30 finalists in seven categories established by the local AeA, the industry association formerly known as the American Electronics Association. Finalists were selected from 70 local businesses nominated for the event, which is intended to promote the small companies that make up much of San Diego's high tech community.
