SAN DIEGO, CA - February 5, 2003 - Continuous Computing Corporation (CCPU), a leading provider of high availability computing solutions for network equipment manufacturers, today announced it has closed its purchase of Trillium branded portable software products and certain associated intellectual property rights from Trillium Digital Systems, Inc., an Intel company. Under the terms of the asset purchase agreement, the Trillium protocol stacks as well as a number of Intel's Los Angeles-based engineers and worldwide sales and support staff, have become part of CCPU.

"With the closing of the acquisition, CCPU can deliver every element of a central office platform solution in VoIP, wireless, signaling and broadband," said Ken Kalb, CEO, Continuous Computing Corp. "For the past five years CCPU has focused on providing the "gold standard" for high availability platform solutions for network equipment manufacturers with a view towards true open standards, regardless of processor architecture or operating system.
