ADLINK Technology Joins Continuous Computing Corporation PROACT Program

Continuous Computing Corporation Partners with ADLINK Technology to Expand the Intel-based Products in the OPENblade Architecture family of HA Platform Solutions

SAN DIEGO, CA - January 20, 2003 - Continuous Computing Corporation (CCPU), which produces platform solutions for network equipment manufacturers, today announced that ADLINK Technology, the leading manufacturer of PC-based industrial computers for measurement, automation, and communication, has joined the Partnership for Reliable, Open- Architecture Computing Technology (PROACT) alliance program as a strategic Intel-based product partner. "We're delighted to welcome ADLINK Technology into the PROACT program," said Bryan Gurganus, Hardware Product Manager, Continuous Computing Corporation. "ADLINK's participation in the program reflects their strong commitment to interoperability and allows CCPU to provide customers with an even wider selection of Intel based products as part of our OPENbladeTM Architecture family high-availability platform solutions for Intel, SPARC, and PowerPC."

Adding to an already impressive line of cross platform solutions, ADLINK brings a full line of Intel based products to PROACT. One of the ADLINK products that CCPU will introduce into the program is the world's first dual Low Voltage Intel Xeon Processor based 6U CompactPCI single board computer. This single board computer supports state-of-the-art Xeon processors with CPU speeds up to 2.4 GHz, as well as Low Voltage Xeon 2.0 GHz processors for power sensitive applications. It is also the industry's first CompactPCI board to utilize the Intel E7501 chipset, which supports up to 4GB of DDR-200 registered memory with ECC. Dual Gigabit Ethernet controllers provide the high-speed communications channels required for fault tolerance and redundancy. As a 66/33 MHz 64/32-bit CompactPCI system controller, the single board computer supports PICMG 2.16 packet switching backplane and PICMG 2.9 system management capabilities for high-end compute servers, telecommunication computers, and mission-critical applications.

"ADLINK is very pleased to be part of the Continuous Computing Corporation PROACT program," said Bruce P. McGrath, VP of Sales and Marketing, ADLINK Technology. "Our high performance Intel computing products will assist CCPU with their network platform solutions. In addition, this program will provide ADLINK with the opportunity to participate in this segment of the market."
