Continuous Computing Introduces PROACT Partner Program

SAN DIEGO, CA - July 8, 2002 - Continuous Computing Corporation (CCPU), a leading provider of high-availability computing solutions for telecom equipment manufacturers, today announced the launch of the Partnership for Reliable, Open-Architecture Computing Technologies (PROACT). Initial members of the PROACT program include Antares Microsystems, Brooktrout Technology, Concurrent Technologies, Fujitsu Technology Solutions, Interphase Corporation, and Performance Technologies.

Developed to ensure interoperability between CCPU computing solutions and industry-leading third party products, PROACT continues CCPU.s commitment to meeting the computing needs of the telecommunications market with reliable, open-architecture platform solutions and in-depth, expert technical support. Through the interoperability efforts of CCPU and PROACT member companies, OEM customers are provided with the widest array of hardware, protocol, and software product choices to meet their specific application platform requirements with the assurance that these products will integrate seamlessly.

"We are very happy that innovative companies of this caliber have joined our PROACT program," said Ken Kalb, CEO, Continuous Computing Corporation. "By taking a proactive approach to platform interoperability testing, our partner program takes the guesswork out of fully integrated platform solutions for telecommunications, giving our customers assurance that their products will work as intended."

Benefits to partner companies include joint selling opportunities, co-marketing programs, and sharing of future product planning information. However, the main beneficiaries of this program are customers. By ensuring interoperability between various components, PROACT enables telco-grade computing platforms to be quickly and easily configured, allowing telecom equipment manufacturers to focus their efforts on developing and deploying revenue-generating applications rather than hardware development and integration.

For additional PROACT details and membership information, please contact Bryan Gurganus with CCPU product management at 858-882-8905 or bryan@ccpu.com.
