Event Description

ATCA, AMC & MicroTCA 2007: Moving to Deployment, will take place in Boston on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 and will discuss the latest developments at all levels of the AdvancedTCA supply chain - from component vendors to system integrators, from equipment vendors to carriers.

The development of ATCA, AMC, and MicroTCA standards* and their implementation in components and subsystems is continuing at a rapid pace - so rapid, in fact, that the time has come for another Light Reading conference on the topic.

This conference will provide attendees with an update on the latest developments, including:

• AdvancedTCA overview
• The roles of MicroTCA and AdvancedMC (AMC)
• The ATCA ecosystem from switching to application-ready platforms
• How to take advantage of the work within the SA Forum, SCOPE, and CPTA to shorten time to market and reduce risk

  In this session we'll analyze the growing ecosystem and typical platform components, including ATCA blades, AdvancedMC modules, and MicroTCA. We examine the switching fabric options including 10-Gigabit Ethernet, the interoperability challenges, and complete the review with a look at the recent developments from the Service Availability Forum, SCOPE, PICMG RES, and CPTA.
  
• Deployment Strategies & Future Developments
  In this session we will look at the use of ATCA and MicroTCA in a number of leading applications. Key applications include wireless infrastructure, IMS, communication servers, WiMAX, and multiservice access platforms. We'll also discuss carrier- and vendor-driven deployment strategies and future developments.
