RoHS Compliance and Environmental Policy
Continuous Computing recognizes the need to conduct business in a manner that is responsible to the community and environment. The company is committed to providing the resources necessary to establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve its environmental management system (EMS).
Continuous Computing is committed to the identification and prevention of pollution, the conservation of natural resources, and the recycling and reduction of waste in its production processes, products, and services. To support this pledge, the company requires its employees and suppliers to share its focus on environmental protection.
To that end, the majority of Continuous Computing's products conform to the European Parliament's International Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) 2002/95/EC Directive.
RoHS requires producers of electrical and electronic equipment to phase out certain hazardous substances that exceed the Directive's maximum level, by weight, in homogeneous material. RoHS aims to reduce hazardous materials and minimize the impact of electrical and electronic equipment waste.
Continuous Computing provided RoHS compliant equipment by the July 1, 2006 deadline and continues to do so today.
Continuous Computing believes that conformance with RoHS not only allows the company to successfully continue doing business in the European Union, but also honors the company's commitment to, and reputation for, environmental responsibility and conservation both now and well into the future.
