Randy Lunn | Chairman | Palomar Ventures
Mr. Lunn is a founding partner of Palomar Ventures, a venture capital company focused on early stage investment in information technology companies that demonstrate the potential for exceptional growth and market leadership. Prior to starting Palomar Ventures in 1999, Mr. Lunn was managing partner of US operations at Techno Venture Management, an international venture capital firm, where he built a highly successful portfolio of investments that included Pairgain, SCM Microsystems, Concerto (AnswerSoft), Benchmarq Microelectronics, InVision (Quantum Magnetics), Dura, and CollaGenex. Prior to TVM, Mr. Lunn was a founder and general partner of Fairfield Venture Partners and made investments in Symbolics, Applied Digital Access, and Life Technologies. He began his career as a founder of Harrison Capital, the venture arm of Texaco, where he was responsible for investments in RF Monolithics, Iomega, Amgen, Compression Labs, MCC, Summa Four, and Synercom. Mr. Lunn graduated summa cum laude in engineering sciences and has BA, BE, and MBA degrees from Dartmouth College. He currently serves on the Board of Overseers of Dartmouth's Thayer School of Engineering.
Mike Dagenais | President & Chief Executive Officer | Continuous Computing
Mr. Dagenais joined Continuous Computing as president and CEO in December 2006. He was most recently CEO and president of Optical Solutions, Inc., a market leading supplier of fiber to the home access solutions. Mr. Dagenais led Optical Solutions through a period of unprecedented growth, culminating in the successful acquisition of Optical Solutions by Calix Networks, a large telecom equipment supplier focused on access solutions for broadband service delivery. He brings over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, including prior executive and management positions at Convergent Networks, Lucent, and Nortel. Mr. Dagenais has a M.Eng. and a B.Eng. in electrical engineering from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
Bill Ingram
Bill Ingram was former president, CEO, and co-founder of Nuera Communications and presided over the firm from 1997 through its successful acquisition by AudioCodes in July 2006. During his tenure at Nuera, he was responsible for the strategic direction and overall performance, growth and profitability of the company. Prior to Nuera, Mr. Ingram was the Chief Operating Officer of PCSI-Clarity Products Division. He currently serves on the boards of Avici Systems and Narad Networks and is a trustee of the Francis Parker School in San Diego. Mr. Ingram has a B.A. in economics from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Ian Picache | Technology Crossover Ventures
Mr. Picache is a Principal at Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV), a leading provider of growth capital to premier technology companies. He serves on the boards of Continuous Computing, Embanet, Intelligent Beauty, and ThinkCash. Prior to TCV, Mr. Picache was a Principal at Vanguard Ventures where he focused on investments in infrastructure and communications. Prior to joining Vanguard, Mr. Picache was one of the early employees at TeleSoft Partners, a communications focused venture capital firm. Of the eight investments he worked on at TeleSoft, all were acquired or went public. Previously, he was at Morgan Stanley in private equity and corporate finance capacities. Mr. Picache has a B.A. in engineering and economics from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Ken Sawyer | Saints Capital
Ken Sawyer is currently a Managing Director for Saints Capital, a firm focused on the acquisition of private equity interests on a secondary basis. Prior to founding Saints in 2000, Mr. Sawyer was the head of Strategic Advisory Services and M&A at Volpe Brown Whelan & Co. While at Volpe from 1996-99, Mr. Sawyer advised over 100 companies on strategic issues; assisted in completing several M&A transactions, private placements and IPOs; and reviewed and approved IPOs of internet and technology companies (as a member of the commitment committee). Mr. Sawyer previously worked at Colman Furlong, a merchant bank, and prior to that at Morgan Stanley. Mr. Sawyer earned both a B.S. with honors in Industrial Engineering and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. Mr. Sawyer currently is a board observer or board member at HK Systems, Cleargauge, Mirapoint and Sidestep.
Andrew Viterbi, Ph.D. | Viterbi Group
Dr. Viterbi is president of Viterbi Group, LLC, which advises and invests in startup companies predominantly in the fields of wireless communications and network infrastructure. In 1985 Dr. Viterbi co-founded QUALCOMM, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of mobile satellite communications and digital wireless telephony, where he served as chief technology officer until 1996 and as vice chairman until 2000. Under his leadership QUALCOMM received international recognition for innovative technology in the areas of digital wireless communication systems and products based on Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) technologies. Prior to co-founding QUALCOMM, Dr. Viterbi co-founded LINKABIT Corporation, a digital communications company, where he served as executive vice president and later as president. Before LINKABIT he was a professor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Engineering and Applied Science and was a member of the Communications Research Section of the California Institute of Technology Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Dr. Viterbi has B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California. He has received numerous awards and recognition for his substantial contributions to the communications industry, such as the Viterbi Algorithm, a decoding algorithm used in most digital communication systems. Dr. Viterbi is a Fellow of the IEEE, a Marconi Fellow, and a Member of both the U.S. National Academy of Engineering and the U.S. National Academy of Sciences.
