CN (Shenzhen) Quality Engineer

Job Description

Provides Customer Quality support through timely resolution of Customer Quality Issues, Field Problems, Customer required Failure Analyses, Corrective Actions, and Stop Shipments. Maintains appropriate databases & detailed records to track, document, and status issues.
Supports yield improvement, process improvement/process capability, SPC, process auditing, corrective action, and new product introduction.
Conducts Material Review Board meetings, coordinates dispositions, and monitors MRB cage activities to ensure prompt processing and achievement of aging/inventory reduction goals.
Coordinates the Corrective Action/Preventive Action process through maintenance of databases, regular review, and monitoring/escalation to achieve aging goals.
Coordinates internal ISO audits by developing the audit plan, training auditors, organizing kickoff meetings, selection of audit sections, monitoring progress, conducting audits, coordination of audit wrap-up meeting, and follow-up/resolution of audit findings.
Performs supplier facility audits, resolves design, workmanship, material, and process issues affecting product quality and initiates respective corrective action.
Supports supplier First Article evaluation process, MRB dispositions, development of Incoming Quality requirements, and data/statistical analysis.
Organizes Supplier Quality improvement teams, manages supplier yield/data reporting, and ensures continuous improvement.
Works with Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, Design Engineering, and the Supply Chain team to support both New Product Introductions and legacy products in our domestic production facility, plus deployment to high volume manufacturing sites world-wide.
Work with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Test, and Customer Service to improve quality, reduce costs, and maintain on-time deliverables.

Requirements

BS in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineering or related
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and Certified Auditor preferred.
5+ years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer in an electronics manufacturing/integration environment with a solid track record of experience managing new product introduction and managing the transition of production at EMS providers.
Experience with PCBAs, SMT, ICP 610D, Sheet Metal, and Injection Molded parts is a must.
Experience in an ISO 9000 certified company.
Proficiency in supplier improvement processes. Working knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
Experience with MS Access, Microsoft Office, Agile.
Stable and Progressive career history.
Excellent written/verbal communications and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated skills in managing time and performing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Able to travel domestic/internationally up to 25%.
