CN (Shenzhen) Operations Test Engineering Manager

Position Description

• Responsible for planning, directing, developing, and implementing effective function test and test processes of new products and activities to support new product introduction; 3rd party product qualification and productization; production support; quality; schedule; and cost goals.
• The Function Test engineering team must work effectively with engineering throughout the product development cycle to ensure the function test/test fixtures developed will meet the design and manufactory goals.
• Provide leadership and cross-functional coordination of all activities and processes associated with manufacturing engineering, test engineering and 3rd party-product qualification in order to achieve company quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Assure that effective and efficient processes are documented, implemented, and comply with the Company standards and all regulatory requirements.
• Develop manufacturing and test process plans and procedures to meet production and quality goals and objectives and ensure that the Production meets manufacturing goals and objectives. This will include DFT guidelines and compliance review.
• Coordinate manufacturing and test engineering activities with suppliers during all phases of product maturity.
• Mentor, guide, and manage the Test Engineers.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight for the successful introduction of new products into Operations through concurrent engineering practices, new technologies and methods.
• Maintain performance metrics to monitor progress and keep management informed of status; challenges; opportunities for improvement; and accomplishments.
• Responsible for managing Company assets related to the manufacturing process including equipment, inventory, and buildings.

Experience and Skills

• BS in Electrical Engineer and/or Computer Science Engineering.
• Minimum of 5-7 years experience with function test engineering activities through all phases of product maturity.
• Stable and Progressive career history.
• Have worked in an electronics manufacturing / integration environment with a solid track record of experience managing new product introduction and managing the transition of production and test to suppliers.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin. Must be able to interface with other function teams in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
