Responsibilities:
- Responsible for obtaining materials, components, equipment, and services in support of manufacturing.
- Exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Perform cost analysis, volume planning, and recommend cost saving proposals.
- Negotiate purchases, place PO and maintain files in a HMLV environment.
- Follow up and accept timely deliveries – review orders received for accuracy and condition of merchandise.
- Acquire and maintain technical understanding of products purchased.
- Build solid relationship with suppliers and develop new supply sources where current suppliers are inadequate.
- Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels.
- Handle EOL parts and disposition.
Requirements:
- College degree, with 5+ years of overall procurement experience.
- Familiar with local marketing of manufacturing materials, components and equipments of electronic industry.
- Familiar with overall procurement process.
- Experience managing large vendor contracts and relationships.
- Strong negotiation skills, and excellent relation building and persuading abilities.
- Technical understanding of manufacturing materials, components and equipments of electronic industry.
- Basic knowledge of related law and regulation.
- Good team player.
- Experience working in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent multitasking and problem solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- MS Office experience required and MRP experienced preferred.
- Knowledge of semi-conductor and mechanical-electronic parts is an advantage.
