Targeting the application needs of next generation IP-centric telecommunications markets, FlexCompute cPCI-CD2215 provides telecom equipment manufacturers significant price, performance, and power advantages. Running at up to 1.5GHz and delivering more than four times the performance of previous generation Pentium M designs, CD2215 empowers customers with the ability to increase the computing capabilities and thus extend the life of their CompactPCI (cPCI) based systems.
Engineered to meet the increased computing needs of telecom infrastructure such as next generation network softswitches, IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) Call Session Control Function (CSCF) nodes, media servers, and media gateways, CD2215 provides superior performance via two separate CPU complexes, each with its own processor, chipset, and memory subsystem.
High reliability storage, critical for many applications, is available via two rear transition module options. A dual slot option supports a single 73GB SAS drive, and a triple slot version accommodates two 73GB SAS drives for larger (146GB) storage requirements. I/O is available via a 10/100/1000Base-T switch, USB, and serial ports.
Coupled with Continuous Computing’s complete family of CompactPCI solutions and Trillium protocol software, CD2215 provides the fastest path from application development to deployment revenue.
